Co-locating

We provide access to internationally recognised biotech expertise and ready-to-use laboratories and research equipment on flexible and competitive terms.

Co-locators can choose to develop jointly-owned IP, hire expertise through contract research or simply use the space and resources as needed. Companies can also engage and jointly supervise graduate students.

We can provide designated bench space in an open plan laboratory and access to a wide range of communal equipment, or dedicated separate space that carries company branding.

Intellectual property

All intellectual property is safeguarded though dedicated space, secure IT and offices. Any research undertaken with University researchers can be fully protected through agreements with the University’s commercialisation company, Auckland UniServices Limited.

Terms and fees

Co-location fees are negotiated on the basis of staff and space requirements and include either a full company co-location or secondment of a research team on either a short or long term basis.
