I am delighted to invite you on behalf of the IIB and NZBio, to the latest in our series of networking events to be held on Friday July 28th 4.30 for 5.00 pm start at our new venue: the University FALE PASIFIKA. This event is made possible with sponsorship from ATEED.

This month we welcome guest speaker Adam Podmore, CEO Objective Acuity speaking on the University of Auckland spin out company Objective Acuity.

Adam Podmore has 14 years’ experience in commercialisation of medical and health technologies. He has previously worked at Auckland UniServices and Investment New Zealand. In these roles, Adam led business planning, capital raises and executed several licensing deals.

Objective Acuity is a breakthrough company developing the next gold standard in vision screening and testing that can be used to test everyone, including young children.

There are many approaches to the measurement of vision but all rely on a cooperative subject and are intrinsically subjective. Through novel eye tracking approaches, Objective Acuity is developing the first automated and objective visual acuity screen and test.

In his talk Adam will discuss the technology, support from UniServices and the near term objectives of the company.
