Presented by Dr James Watson, Director of Science at Caldera Health
Please join us on 28 February for drinks, food, a terrific speaker and relaxed networking.
As a very active participant in science and industry circles, Dr Watson needs little introduction. Dr Watson is currently Director of Science at Caldera Health. He founded New Zealand’s first-ever listed biotech company, Genesis Research & Development Corporation, and its spinout BioJoule Ltd. Dr Watson is a past professor and Head of the Department of Molecular Medicine at the University of Auckland Medical School and previous professor at the University of California, Irvine. Always interesting and engaging, Dr Watson will illuminate us on:
“The Challenges of a Market”
Dr Watson: “A start-up company goes through many stages in development in taking an idea to market. The molecular revolution is like a tsunami sweeping through the commercial cancer diagnostic field. I will illustrate this by discussing Caldera’s path in taking a new technology to the market for new diagnostics in prostate cancer. Where are the skills that progress this pathway?”
All welcome. RSVPs to Stephanie Bailey on firstname.lastname@example.org or (09) 923 87264(09) 923 87264 for organisational purposes would be greatly appreciated.
